‘Lip Sync Battle’ Has Become The Very 1st TV Series Recored in Virtual Reality!

LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen-represented Spike TV show is on its way to Samsung's Milk VR app.


"Lip Sync Battle" was already No. 1 for Spike TV per a number of viewers, and now it is the first television series to be recored in virtual reality.
The series, hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, became available Tuesday on Samsung's Milk VR program, which is exclusive to the Gear VR Innovator Edition. Filmed in 360 degrees, "Lip Sync Battle" on Milk VR puts audience in the action, including right in front of the previously mentioned hosts and their celebrity clients.


Among those people who have already come on the show or are set to appear are: Anne Hathaway, Jimmy Fallon, Dwayne Johnson, John Legend, Justin Bieber, Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lopez, John Krasinski, Meghan Trainor, Common, Terrence Howard, Mike Tyson, Taraji P. Henson, Queen Latifah, Will Arnett, Iggy Azalea, Alison Brie, Terry Crews and more.

The half-hour original series was made by Fallon and his Eight Million Plus Productions, Stephen Merchant, Krasinski, Matador and Casey Patterson.
The television series has drawn record ratings for Spike, as the premier was the most-viewed, non-scripted show debut in network history, claiming 3.2 million audience. The advent additionally produced the highest ratings among adults 18-49 in network history for a non-scripted debut, and ranked No. 1 in the timeslot for all television.


"Lip Sync Battle" is particularly a success among girls, which is a big get for the traditionally male-centered Spike TV.
